Canon A4000 IS Refurbished 16MP 8x O-Zoom $35 at 83% off original of $200. A fairly standard point and shoot digital camera with decent reviews on amazon (with 4 stars of 400+ reviews). 16 megapixel sensor with 5.5x crop factor with 8x optical zoom and image stabilization with a built in 28mm wide angle lens. This is a good starter camera if you’re looking to move up from your phone camera–this will be your standard run of the line point and shoot (deck of cards) camera. It unfortunately only does 720p video.
This is a factory refurbished (from canon) unit; I always buy factory refurbished when I can, as I’ve never had an issue with a unit refurbished by manufacturer (caution when it’s a retailer like ‘best buy’ that does the repair). Failure rates do not differ from new.
Shipping is free, though I believe there is a small fee for returns (a few bucks).
Dell Color Laser Printer for $75 at 63% off at Staples. Unlike the last laser color printer that was full office (scan, fax copy), this is just a printer. Though, it is wireless and for $75 is a steal for a laser color printer. You do not need to mind your ink drying in a laser as you would for an inkjet and the cartridges are reasonable from amazon at $17 a replacement.
Agricola Board Game for $35 at 50% off original price of $70 on Amazon. This is the lowest price for Agricola on Amazon.com in 4 years (since its release). This game has become very popular as a classic economic/european worker placement board game. It’s pretty easy to learn though there are a lot of pieces and it is on the slightly longer side.
Cuisinart 1000W 5-Speed Juice for $55 at 80% off (orig: $270) at Walmart with free shipping. It’s a pretty good juicer with a good amount of power at 1000 watts.
I own a refurbished unit that I’ve been using for a good part of a year and have no problems whatsoever. This makes eating vegetables and fruits much easier–many of you who have come over have probably had some kind of fruit/vegetable cocktail I’ve made.
All removable parts are easily rinsed after use or are also dishwasher safe.
50″ 1080p 60hz LED HDTV by RCA for $349. Not too much to say about this one; it’s a standard very large, fairly good looking high definition TV. It is LED, which is better than LCDs (older flatscreens) in better energy consumption, less heat production, and better lighting. It’s not a premium brand (Samsung or Sony), and it doesn’t have any fancy features like voice activated netflix, but it’s got the main feature people use most–being a 50″ TV.
You will need to pick it up from a Sears, where you can probably look at one if you’d like. I would submit the in-store pick up order before arriving so that no one buys it from under you and you always have the option of canceling the order and getting your money back. If you’re looking for a warranty, buy it with the square trade warranty rather than Sears. Buying it with an American Express card also generally adds a one year warranty on top of manufacturer warranty.
Canon Color Laser Printer $180 w/ Wireless. Great price on a color laser printer that will save you in cost of toner in the long run. This unit is a ‘full office; with feed scanner, copier, and wireless networking.
The unit is 60% off at $180 (originally $450). You can use MASTERPASS23 for an additional 10% off ($18), but you also have to use the masterpass checkout method at the bottom of the card page. Continue reading →
RayBan Aviators and Wayfarers $69 from original ~$180 depending on style (60% off). A bunch of styles and sizes. I have a pair and they last much longer/made much better than your cheap sunglasses. I think worth the investment!
Shell shocker deal of the day- 50″ 1080P LCD HDTV for $380 at Newegg. It’s not a Janpanese (Sony, Panasonic) or Korean (Samsung, LG) brand, but the reviews on newegg (a very reputable site) are quite good for the TV at 4 stars over 328 reviews. Looks to be a good deal for a big TV with a thin bezel and great contrast. The deal is a bundle and comes with a free HDMI cable.
